The Team Joyner Foundation is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt nonprofit organization established in 2014 in memory of Coach Clayton Joyner, a local high school and summer league swim coach in Fairfax, VA. The purpose of the Team Joyner Foundation is to provide scholarships to worthy high school students with financial need and academic promise.

 

To date, the Team Joyner Foundation has awarded over $96,000 in scholarships to 49 students. In June 2021, the Team Joyner Foundation expanded it's awards to Northern Virginia Community College to award $1,000 scholarships. This grew again in 2022 when The Team Joyner Foundation awarded 4 students $1,000 grants. During the pandemic in 2020-2022, all students who completed the application process for the Clayton Joyner Memorial Scholarship each received $200 directly deposited into their NOVA account. Over 35 students have been awarded.
